The client's beautiful modern house up in the Santa Ana hills was in desperate need of a kitchen that matched their lifestyle.
(MY APPROACH)
Much of the vision came to life with the interior designer's rendering that opened up the ceiling. We determined early that the ceiling over the current kitchen was not structural and could easily be removed to create the open space.
(VISION & INNOVATION)
My role on this project was to document the design and get the vision into a form that could be approved by the county.
(CHALLENGES)
The county of Orange is very strict when it comes to what is required for a kitchen remodel. Older structures such as this need a lot of work in the front end to make sure everything is documented and noted correctly so construction could move quickly.
(PROBLEMS)
Construction moved quickly.

The simplification of this space allows for the openness and feeling of cohesion in this beautiful new kitchen.
